Treatment Through Insurance

Straight Back Physio works closely with most insurance companies, often billing directly with your insurer, however we need you to confirm a few details prior to treatment - insurance provider, policy number, and authorisation code.

We only ask that you make sure that your policy covers the sessions you book and that you stay in touch with your insurer to keep your authorisation up to date.

1. Appointments

• Appointments can be booked online, by telephone, email, or in person.
• Patients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date contact information when making a booking.
• Appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. Please arrive promptly for your appointment to ensure you receive your full treatment session.

2. Cancellation Policy

• Appointments cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice won't incur a charge.
• Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged up to 100% of the appointment fee.
• Failure to attend an appointment without prior notice ("No-Show") may be charged at the full rate.
• The clinic reserves the right to advance payment for bookings following repeated cancellations or non-attendance.

3. Fees and Payment

• All fees are displayed on our website and may be updated periodically.
• Payment is due at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.
• We accept major debit & credit cards and other payments as advertised.
• Any outstanding balances must be settled before further appointments can be booked.

4. Health Information

• Patients must provide accurate and complete medical info relevant to their assessment and treatment.
• Failure to disclose medical conditions, injuries, medications, or other relevant information may affect the safety and effectiveness of treatment.
• Patients are responsible for informing the physiotherapist of any changes to their health status.

5. Treatment and Results

• Physiotherapy aims to improve function, reduce pain, and support recovery; however, no guarantee can be given.
• Treatment recommendations are based on clinical assessment and professional judgment.
• Patients are responsible for following prescribed exercises and treatment advice to maximise benefits of care.

6. Consent to Treatment

• By attending an appointment, patients consent to assessment and treatment by our physiotherapists.
• Patients have the right to ask questions, request clarification, or withdraw consent at any point.
• Parental or legal guardian consent is required for patients under 18 years.

7. Medical Emergencies

• The clinic does not provide emergency medical services.
• If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact emergency services or seek immediate medical attention.

8. Insurance Claims

• Where treatment is funded through medical insurance, patients remain responsible for fees not covered by their insurer.
• Patients are responsible for obtaining any required authorisation from their insurer before treatment.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

• The clinic collects and processes personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
